Dorothy Burns is a retired elementary school teacher. She taught in the Bronx for 35 years. During this period of time she lived with her husband Gene and their four children in Yorktown Heights,New York.She now resides in Rhinebeck,New York.
When enrolled in college she had the opportunity to take a photography class and work in the lab. It was one of the most enjoyable and creative environments she had ever experienced.
Armed with that memory, she decided to resume the study of photography during her retirement. At this juncture she is interested in experimenting with still life images and reflections. She is grateful to photographer glenn deWitt for his guidance and his time. He has been truly inspirational. Also Dorothy has enjoyed meeting and working with all the photographers in the group.
